When I started my English
practice I, the first day I was confused because I didn’t know nothing about
the virtual Teams app. Never I had used this tool . This was new in my life. As
I mentioned at the beginning of this portfolio, I returned at the University 35
years after finishing my high school. I had never had the opportunity to teach
before. I remember that I was sad because the first day I had to tell my
students “ dear students excuse me, I can’t with this Team app, I have never
used before”. The session was ten minutes. I felt sad and defeated. I thought “
until here I arrived “ that day my husband was with my in the farm, he told me: “don’t
worry asked your sons that helped you” I didn’t want to know anything else. I
called to the tutor Lilana Moreno in Tunja, and I explained her my difficult
situation. She told me “What happen you Luz Stella?. You can’t leave everything
to the last minute. Face the situation and move on. Take the bull by the horns
and don’t let yourself be defeated” these words gave me impetus to continue. I
had to travel to Bogota and my younger son explained me all about the Teams
app. I stayed in Bogota until I learned how to use the app. Thanks tutor
Liliana! for those words that you gave me! I will always carry them in my mind
and my heart until the end of my days. Ah, I also remember my tutor Juanita
Rozo with great affection.

During my second practice I
was confident, secure and I felt like fish in water. Now I hope to get my title
as a Bachelor in English as a Second Language to complete my dream. This is a
gift that is worth much more than all the riches in the world for my husband
and my sons.
My advice for future online
student teachers is that despite difficult moments in their careers they are studying in, don’t left theirself be defeated by the inconveniences. Keep going to achieve their projected
dreams.

age limit on your dreams”
