Since I was young, my dream
was to become an english teacher. During
my high school I was interested in English Language.
When I finished
my high school I began to study at the University. I studied for one semester, but
the circunstances of life didn’t let me to continue with my studies. When I was
22 years old I got married and I didn’t continue at the University. Even though,,
my first child was born four years after
I got married, I was dedicated to work, to work and to work. When my first
child was born my husband and I had a hardware store. We were happy with our
first son, ten years later our second child was born. I forgot to continue
studying. After 35 years my husband and I moved to a litlle town named
Tibirita. We bought a medium farm and we dedicated to grow up coffee. In 2013
the mayor of the Tibirita signed an agreement with UNAD (Garagoa). I thought “
this is my chance to contiue my career”. I enrolled in Bachelor English as a
Foreign Language career. At the beginnig it was very, very difficult for me.
After 35 years….begin to study. During the first year I cried a lot because I
said myself this is not for me. But my husband and my sons encouraged me all
time. My sons are professionals and they guide me in what I need in terms of
technology, in some opportunities they colaborated me with tasks, but not
always.
